Email and Anti-Spam Policy

The Progressive Center for Independent Living (PCIL) does not permit unsolicited bulk or commercial email advertising pcil.org, PCIL’s programs, events, fundraising activities, or other organizational initiatives.
PCIL’s marketing emails are sent only to people who have requested information, subscribed to receive communications, or otherwise provided permission to receive organizational updates. These communications may include newsletters, program information, educational resources, event announcements, surveys, scholarship opportunities, and charitable fundraising appeals.
PCIL does not purchase, rent, scrape, harvest, borrow, or use unverified email lists. PCIL also does not authorize employees, contractors, affiliates, community partners, or other third parties to send unsolicited messages promoting PCIL or pcil.org. Bulk promotional messages may be distributed only through an organization-approved email platform using a permission-based contact list.
Every PCIL marketing email must clearly identify PCIL as the sender and provide a working method for recipients to unsubscribe. Opt-out requests will be honored, and an individual who unsubscribes will not be added back to a marketing list without providing new consent.
Program-related or administrative communications sent to individuals receiving PCIL services are limited to information relevant to their participation and are not used as unsolicited advertising.
Anyone who receives an unwanted or suspicious message claiming to represent PCIL may contact info@pcil.org. PCIL will investigate the message, remove the recipient from applicable marketing lists, and take appropriate corrective action.
PCIL is committed to responsible email practices and compliance with applicable anti-spam and email-marketing requirements.
